Are you passionate about working with disabled children and young people? The Short Breaks Team is growing, and we are offering an exciting opportunity for a number of applicants to join our team.
North Lincolnshire Council have a statutory duty to provide short breaks for disabled children in line with the Breaks for Carers of Disabled Children Regulations 2011. We have been delivering group-based activities in house since 2017 and we are now looking to do the same with our Individualised Short Breaks and Homecare support service.
This is a versatile role where no day is the same, you may be working one to one with a child to meet their needs in their own home, in the community or leading a group of children in a play activity.
Successful candidates should be creative in their approach to engaging young people.
Applicants should have a minimum Level 2 qualification in a relevant field such as childcare, health and social care or sports related. With the ability to complete a Level 3 qualification in a childcare related subject within 2 years of starting in post.
There will be some opportunities for candidates to undertake an Apprenticeship in the Children, Young People and Families Practitioner qualification to gain a Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare.
