Barnsley a place of possibilities: We are one service with one goal, working together to build a brighter Barnsley for every child

v  Putting Children and Families First

v  Working together in partnership to deliver joined up care

v  Delivered by a strong and valued workforce

As part of our service transformation, Children’s Services are in the process of implementing the Signs of Safety model, the framework which will underpin all of our intervention with children and their families and the processes and structures that support our work.

Key to achieving our ambitions is our infrastructure and ensuring that our systems and performance framework underpins and supports practice. With the recent implementation of Mosaic as our case management system and ongoing work with colleagues in our IT department to develop our frameworks for reporting, this will be a key role in shaping our service.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and committed practitioner to work closely with partners and lead on embedding the Signs of Safety model across the service. You will have a sound working knowledge of children’s social care, the underpinning legislation, policy and practice and significant experience of children’s services coupled with a sound understanding of the IT systems and performance frameworks that drive practice.

 In this role you will;

v  Lead on the implementation of the Signs of Safety Model across Children’s Services

v  Take the lead on the implementation of the Mosaic Case Management System and Performance Framework within Children’s Services

v  Be the interface between Children’s Services and Business Intelligence, working closely with partners and stakeholders

v  Work with partners to review and develop systems and processes

v  Develop and deliver training and learning within Childrens Services around Case Management and Performance systems

v  Drive a culture of performance within the Children’s Services workforce

Who are we looking for?

v  An experienced practitioner with significant knowledge and experience of the legislation and frameworks that underpin Childrens Services

v  Understanding of Signs of Safety

v  Knowledge and experience of working within and using Performance Frameworks and CSM Systems and an understanding of how these underpin and inform social work practice

v  Someone who demonstrates excellent communication and leadership skills

v  A self motivated practitioner with an ability to work to deadlines
