You will be paid £2,300 per successful assessment, or pro-rata calculated on an hourly basis where the assessment is terminated part-way though, plus a generous mileage allowance.
Foster Carer Assessors wanted
East Riding fostering service urgently needs experienced to assess both mainstream foster carer applicants and Connected Person (Family and Friends) applicants.
We are interested in speaking with assessors who are located across the county area, as well as those prepared to travel further afield to undertake Connected Person (Family and friends) fostering assessments.
You will support potential foster carers through the assessment and panel process, undertaking competence-based Form F Assessments, working closely with other members of the East Riding recruitment and assessment service.
The recruitment and assessment service now consistently complete all assessments within regulatory timescales. To continue this, you will receive strong support and oversight; additional training can also be provided.
Essential Criteria:
- Recognised professional social work qualification. (DipSW or equivalent)
- Must have HCPC registration
- Knowledge of childcare legislation and other relevant legislation/initiatives pertaining to foster care.
- Experience of working within a fostering service
- Experience of undertaking competence-based Form F and/or Form C Assessments
- Willingness to work on a flexible basis, e.g. evenings and weekends.
- Ability to produce high-quality written assessment reports.
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Confidence and proficiency in presenting to Fostering Panels.
- Clean driving license and own transport.
