Salary: Level 2/3 Social Worker, £28,226-£ 36371 per annum, plus a retention payment of up to £2,400 per annum (conditions apply), 37 hours per week, permanent

This is an exciting time to join the fostering service as we have recently had a service review, this has resulted in the service have 3 service areas specifically focussing on recruitment and assessment, short term foster care and permanent foster care. The post holder will be working within the permanence pod which consists of 2 practice managers (30 hours and 22.5 hours) 1 advanced practitioner and 4 FTE social workers. Your role will be to supervise and support foster carers who provide long term care to children and young people, including connected carers. Your role will include providing a high level of support to improve placement stability and outcomes for children and young people of Calderdale. You will be working in partnership with other practitioners working in order to support children and young people achieve permanence.

 

Applications will be considered from qualified social workers (BA/DipSW/CQSW or equivalent), registered with Social Work England and who can demonstrate post qualifying experience gained within statutory children and families service.
