Full Time, 37 hours per week, Permanent.

This is an exciting time to join us at Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council and we have an opportunity to make a real difference to children and families in the Borough. We are now seeking to appoint to a Head of Service role in Locality Social work and Children with a disability teams. This is a unique opportunity to join a “Good” Local Authority who are ambitious for our children and families and workforce.

 

As the locality HOS you will build on the impressive progress we’ve made in recent years and drive our Ofsted rated ‘Good’ services to ‘Outstanding’. As the lead for operational locality and CWD Social Work, you will have strong statutory and legislative knowledge, extensive experience, and your practice ethos will be underpinned by strengths based working and relational practice. 

 

Under your leadership, your teams will help deliver effective relationships with children and families ensuring their voice is heard, Promoting the rights of children to family life, and reducing the demand by using evidence-based interventions.

 

With significant experience of leading diverse teams, which includes Dfe Short break innovation, the successful candidate will need to possess a thorough working knowledge of children’s social care best practice and associated statutory frameworks, you will have successfully controlled large budgets and resources including the development and retention of an outstanding workforce and be able to actively demonstrate delivery of high performing, efficient services.
