An exciting position has arisen for an enthusiastic, well-motivated Specialist Social Worker to oversee Harrogate, Ripon & Craven area of the County in a permanent full time role.  We are looking for you to have a minimum of 2/3 years post qualifying experience in Social Work.

 

As a Specialist Social Worker, you will be part of a small and committed team that is focused in the fields of child sexual exploitation, criminal exploitation, missing and contextual safeguarding. The Specialist Social Workers are non-case however, requires you to have oversight and support Children and Families staff and wider partners to consider innovative approaches to complex casework.

 

Specialist Social Worker are integral in developing relationships and working alongside multi agency partners to ensure the right outcomes for children.

 

As Specialist Social worker you will be given the opportunity to attend varied and bespoke training child sexual exploitation, criminal exploitation, missing, contextual safeguarding and private fostering furthering your own CPD as well as sharing learning within the wider workforce.

 

The specialist social work team is committed to work with children and their families/carers, using a range of solution focussed, strength based relationship practice models, including Signs of Safety, Systemic theory and the Family Finding approach. We are looking for an individual who can help us continue to offer a unique service and truly make a difference to the young people of our county.
