Job description

We are seeking a Strategic Advisor to support the Executive Director of Children, Families and Schools (statutory DCS) in delivering strategic, both internal and externally-facing initiatives that will transform lives of children and young people across the East Riding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Executive Director of Children, Families and Schools in strategic planning and externally-focused activities.
  • Maintain a strategic overview of policy changes, providing timely insights and advice to the directorate.
  • Write briefings and develop communications to ensure the directorate is well-informed and aligned with broader governmental ambitions.
  • Engage with external partners to build strong relationships and drive a cohesive approach to service delivery for children.
  • Play a critical role in supporting shaping local services, ensuring they meet the needs of children and families in East Riding.
