Job description

We are currently advertising for a full time Child Protection Conference Chair within the Safeguarding and Family Support Team in Wakefield.

 

The role involves providing advice and consultation in respect of child protection and safeguarding and chairing child protection conferences. This will be the primary focus of this posts.

 

The successful applicant will be part of a team who are committed to continual development. You will bring experience and skills in identifying risk and developing robust plans in collaboration with families and other professionals to affect change and address risk.

 

The Safeguarding and Standards team are working to develop a culture of restorative practice both within the team and with the families we work with. This is an opportunity to be an influencer, influencing social work practice through supportive links with teams and collaborative quality assurance and audit work with social workers, influencing the linking with other agencies and having an influence on the lives of children in engaging families in developing plans that change behaviours and outcomes.
