Adoption Social Worker

Grade: JK

Salary: From £35,745 up to £40,221 per annum pro rata

Vacancy Hours:  Full time 
Location:  Harrogate Area. We very much promote flexible working with the option to work remotely from home at times. Whilst your base will be identified within a specific location, you may at times, be required to work from other bases across the county.

We also welcome those who are looking to relocate. North Yorkshire County Council’s adoption service is part of One Adoption North and Humber, a high performing regional adoption agency.

You will be part of a highly acclaimed, supportive service that operates a comprehensive programme of induction.   The Adoption Service ensures that all staff receive ongoing support from managers, and everyone has the opportunity to progress within their career.

 

We value staff development and offer a wide range of training opportunities, including trauma informed practice models and approaches that enhance the service delivery to our children and adoptive families.  

 

Working in the adoption team is an exciting, challenging, unique and rewarding job. It is a role, which gives social workers the opportunity to operate within a range of contexts; undertaking assessments of prospective adopters, providing adoption support services to children and families, providing preparation training to prospective adoptive parents and being part of a professional team to support the matching and placing of children.
