Are you a social worker seeking a new challenge? Would you like an opportunity to work in a specialist team? We are seeking a social worker to work in this specialist service based in Northallerton.
The Role
You will be based in a team of social workers and a family support worker providing support and advice to children and young people with significant learning and physical disabilities aged 0-18 and their families.
The role will include completing comprehensive Children and Family assessments. Planning and negotiating packages of support and working in partnership with parents and other professionals and agencies. To ensure children and young people have as many opportunities to access community activities and short breaks and to develop daily living and independence skills to make a successful transition into adulthood.
There will be a requirement to manage Looked after children case work, safeguarding and court work, dependant on knowledge and skills.
