We are currently advertising for a part time Senior Social Worker within the Supervisory Team of the Fostering Service, Wakefield.

At Fostering Wakefield, we work at pace to try and ensure that we have a fostering service that meets the needs of our children and young people in foster care and allows them to feel safe, secure, and able to thrive.

Thriving children in thriving families need exceptional people to support them. Being a Senior Social Worker within a busy team you will be passionate about matching children to the right foster carers, providing placement stability, and achieving good outcomes and permanence for children.

This role will include all of the challenges and rewards that rapid improvement brings. You will be working closely with the team manager and advanced practitioner and alongside the Mockingbird Project; an alternative model of delivering foster care that is currently being embedded in Wakefield.

Are you?

• A qualified and currently registered Social Worker, with at Least 2 years post qualifying experience

• Able to work to deadlines and manage a case load of varying needs and complexities and work to a duty system

• Experienced in working closely with children in care and foster carers

• Able to embrace change and progress through our improvement journey
