The Role

East Riding of Yorkshire Council are recruiting a Project and Programme Manager to join our Ofsted rated GOOD Children’s Services Team.

The role includes a variety of tasks such as:

  • Leading the governance arrangements for the Corporate Parenting Board including planning and supporting the sub-groups.
  • Developing and reviewing operational plans to ensure sub-group priorities are met and decision-making processes are transparent.
  • Providing regular updates and performance reports to the Corporate Parenting Board and its sub-groups.
  • Enabling care experienced young people to effectively attend, contribute and co-chair sub-groups to the Corporate Parenting Board.

The candidate

To be successful in this role you will be confident, motivated and have the ability to organise your own workload. You should have excellent communication skills, work well under pressure and have the ability to produce and maintain project documentation and coordinate multiple work streams.

The candidate requires the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure work is progressed against the overarching priorities of the Corporate Parenting Strategy. You must have the ability to support and work directly with children and young people.

Location

The service offers blended working opportunities and provides agile working equipment to allow work to be completed in council offices or from home. The team base is County Hall, Beverley, though travel will be required to other Council offices across the East Riding of Yorkshire Council footprint.
