Community Resource Worker (CRW)

Contract: 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

 

Salary: L3 SCP 12 to 24:  £26,421 to £33,024

About the role

 

We currently have vacancy for Community Resource Workers across in the Children in Care Team. You will be supporting Social Workers to support families and children who may require temporary or ongoing help. Working directly with families and building relationships and trust with them in a safe, but fun, environment.  

 

This really is hands on role and at the frontline of ensuring that every child has the best start in life.

 

Some of the things you will be involved with:

·       Planning and supervising family time

·       General admin, such as applying for passports

·       Practical help/support for families/children/carers

·       Life story work for children

  

 

About you

 

·       You must hold a minimum Level 3 Diploma working with children and young people or other relevant qualifications (for example:  A Relevant degree, Dip S.W, RGN, Teaching, Youth and Community etc, or equivalent as specified by the service if this is supported by 2 years' experience of working with 2 children)

 

·       Experience – minimum of 2 years continuous experience of working with children and young people.

 

·       Good Communication skills

 

·       A driving licence and access to a car with Business Insurance unless a disability prevents this.

 

An enhanced disclosure check with the Disclosure & Barring Service will be undertaken for this post.
