Service Manager – Child Protection Conferencing service
We are inviting applications from candidates who are social work qualified and SWE registered to co-manage Child Protection coordinators in our Quality Assurance and Involvement service. This permanent post is offered on hours up to 37 per week on a flexible working basis.
The successful applicant will have experience of operating at a senior management level with an ability to operate strategically and manage budgets. They will be able to ensure that services can continue to operate efficiently and safely with a focus on the right interventions for children (particularly related to CP planning) and will have significant experience of child protection case conferencing and knowledge of the LADO role.
As the Service Manager, you will provide strong leadership for the service area, based on a clear vision of the outcomes to be achieved for children on child protection plans and you will ensure that the service has effective operational and strategic relationships with children's’ social care and multi-agency partners. You will manage a team of child protection coordinators and will be responsible for maintaining processes and mechanisms for monitoring to assure and improve the quality of practice with the team and across children's’ social care, reporting results to the monthly performance board. You will need to have a recognised management qualification or evidence of significant management training and experience.
