Salary: £23,893 to £25,119 per annum pro rata (pay award pending) (Actual salary £17,347.75 to £18,237.90 per annum)

Grade: E

Contract Type: Fixed term, contract end date 31st March 2025

Vacancy Hours: Part time, 34.5 hours per week, 35 weeks term time only (flexible working will be considered) 08:30 - 16:00 (30 minutes for lunch)

Location: Personalised Learning Programme Hub, The Street, Scarborough

 

Personalised Learning College is an educational setting for learners with high needs in North Yorkshire; offering a unique educational provision designed around the needs of young people. Personalised Learning Pathways enable young people to access local learning opportunities which will lead to community participation, and wherever possible independent living and/or employment. This will be achieved by identifying clear learning aims and objectives which will empower individuals with the skills, confidence, and challenge to be successful in adult life.

 

We have a new and exciting opportunity for one new advanced teaching support assistants to make a significant contribution to our Special Education Needs learning provision for our existing post 16 learners with an Education, Health and Care Plan attending the Personalised Learning Pathways Hub, at the Street in Scarborough.

 

This will be achieved by collaborating with the young person to develop clear learning aims and objectives, which will empower individuals with the skills, confidence, and challenge to be successful in adult life.

 

Personalised Learning Pathways is a person-centered programme which supports the young person to develop, and progress based on a clear understanding of their personal needs and aspirations.

 

You will work under the direction of the class teacher, to help plan and deliver learning opportunities designed around the individual and focusing on three pathways: personal progress, independence, and employment. You will support a young people to achieve their Individual Learning targets; sometimes providing personal care as required.
