An exciting opportunity has become available in Leaving Care.

 

Are you passionate about supporting young people taking their next steps? Do you want to make a difference to the lives of young care leavers?

 

We are looking for a Leaving Care Case Worker – Opportunity Broker on a full-time basis.  You will work with the established Leaving Care Case Workers and teams in both Knaresborough and Northallerton (Dependent on the successful candidate’s location) to identify bespoke opportunities for our Care Leavers in Education, Training and Employment but also in the form of finding experiences for Care Leavers. These opportunities will include developing relationships with local employers, colleges, training schemes and Universities in order to promote and develop new opportunities for Care Leavers. 

 

Due to service needs you could be travelling out of area as well as working in Knaresborough and Northallerton and will be working/based with the Knaresborough team at least three days a week.

 

Parts of your role may include assisting care leavers with adjusting to the next stage of their life such as moving into accommodation, help with budgeting and household management, as well as assistance with education, training and employment in addition to working with staff, teams and partner agencies.

 

You will work within the guidelines of relevant legislation and will be committed to providing positive outcomes for care leavers by completing essential documents to map out Care Leavers future journeys such as Pathway Plans or working alongside existing Pathway Plans to make or enhance opportunities.
