This is an exciting opportunity to join our high performing Children and Young People’s Leadership Team, where you will provide leadership and management to our well-established Safeguarding and Quality Assurance service.

We are looking for someone that passionately champions children and young people, with energy and confidence to drive high expectations. You will share our ambition to have services that ensure outstanding outcomes for children and young people in Rotherham and an ability to bring partners and colleagues along with you on this Good to Great journey.

You will have responsibility for the effective delivery of services encompassing all aspects of safeguarding, audit and quality assurance and developing a diverse, skilled and inclusive workforce. Most importantly, you will lead on our Voice and Participation activity, and ensure that all strategic and operational improvement has this at its core.

You will have a strong knowledge and understanding of current and emerging legislative frameworks and government policy agendas in respect of this field of work and an ability to lead in this area with sound written and presentational skills.

If you have a real desire to improve services for children in Rotherham, then we would love to hear from you.

We would particularly welcome applications from candidates from global majority backgrounds as they are under-represented at this level in the Service.
