About The Role

The learning and development service have an exciting opportunity for an ASYE Coordinator to oversee the ASYE academy and support new qualified social workers in their first year in practice. The academy has been successful in supporting recruitment for the Trust whilst ensuring that newly qualified social workers are provided with the opportunity to learn and transition into their role. The ideal candidate will create a culture of continuous learning and development.

 

Key Responsibilities

·       To ensure that the Assessed and Supported Year in Education (ASYE) programme in Bradford is fully compliant with the standards and guidance set out by the DfE and Skills for Care to support our Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSW).

·       To be accountable for the quality of practice, setting standards and creating the conditions required for successful social work by motivating, nurturing, mentoring staff and contributing to practice development, including undertaking activity that links to the Childrens Services performance framework.

·       To work closely with the Principal Social Worker to develop, review and maintain the ASYE programme under the Skills for Care guidance ensuring that we encourage and promote effective relationships and communication between individuals across the service and partner agencies.

 

About You

·       Experience of managing teams in Children’s Social Care and has offered specialist consultation and advice on cases and circumstances across Children’s Services.

·       Experience of development, design and delivery of blended learning solutions that address identified need.

·       Comprehensive knowledge of social work practice and legislation, including safeguarding.

·       Experiencing of supervising staff.

·       Experience of building effective relationships and communicating with stakeholders at all levels locally, regionally, and nationally.

·       Professional social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.

·       Advanced IT skills – Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel are required as well as excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
