Job description

Due to a recent promotion within our team, we are excited to be advertising for a social worker within our Exploitation Team.

As an exploitation social worker, you will have a passion for working with adolescents and a clear understanding of contextual safeguarding/exploitation. You will work with young people who are at risk of sexual or criminal exploitation, undertaking assessments and working closely with them, their families and multi agency partners to manage risk and develop safety. We would welcome applications from social workers who have excellent communication skills, good understanding of trauma informed practice and be able to work persistently and creatively in engaging and supporting young people and families through challenging times.

The ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload is a must, along with the ability to plan and prepare assessments that are clear, analytical, and coherent. As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C1: Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously, almost effortlessly. Only a conceptually difficult subject can hinder a natural, smooth flow of language.
