The role of Practice Development Social Worker will be based in our newly formed Social Work Academy. The Academy is the directorate’s hub to celebrate and promote the social work profession as well as delivering the core functions of social work staff support, learning, development, progression and practice improvement.
The post will be a key element of the directorate’s social work recruitment and retention strategy and will lead and develop a programme to create a high-quality pathway into qualified social worker practice. This to include the recruitment and development of aspirant social workers, student social workers and practice educators.
