Are you a qualified, registered and experienced Social Worker who has high aspirations for children and families and who has the skills, knowledge and experience required to take the lead in undertaking independent reviews of Local Authority Foster Carers?
Do you have a commitment to ensuring that our foster carers are skilled and equipped to provide loving, stable homes and achieve outstanding outcomes for children?
If so, North Lincolnshire has an opportunity for an Independent Reviewing Officer to take the lead in undertaking reviews of Local Authority Foster Carers.
The successful candidate will be a qualified and registered Social Worker who has significant experience in working with children and families and is able to evidence an advanced level of competence and understanding of the needs of vulnerable children, particularly in respect of children in care.
You will need to have an advanced knowledge of relevant legislation, regulation, guidance and research relating to children in care and fostering including fostering regulations and standards.
An understanding of statutory functions in relation to the provision of sufficient and high-quality foster care is also essential.
Excellent communication and networking skills will be essential, as will be the ability to work in partnership with a range of stakeholders including children and families, foster carers and Social Workers.
