Fostering Service Manager

About the Role
Are you an experienced manager with an excellent understanding of Children’s Services, including Fostering and Adoption? Are you passionate about outcomes for children and outstanding practice? Are you able to establish strong working relationships with partner agencies and services, to promote the best environment for children? If so this post could be for you.
We are looking for a motivated Service Manager who will have responsibility for the day-today management, development and delivery of the fostering marketing and recruitment support and Pause Services. In addition, they will also be the link officer for Rotherham in relation to Adoption and One Adoption South Yorkshire (the local RAA).
The Service Manager for Fostering will have;
- Substantial experience of working at a managerial level, within statutory children’s services across at least one of the portfolio areas.
- Experience of working with the regulations linked to the key functions of the portfolio.
- Substantial experience of multi-agency working to deliver positive change for children.
- Current knowledge of all relevant legislation, policy and guidance linked of the service area.
- Knowledge and understanding of local and national policy in relation to Children and Young People’s service, including what works and best practice.
- Thorough knowledge of Child protection and safeguarding issues related to the portfolio area.
- Knowledge and experience of using Quality assurance and auditing processes to deliver positive change.
- Experience of engaging service users so support service review and developments.
- Experience of implementing service developments.
