About The Role
The role requires the individual to be responsible for the effective management and service development of the Independent Reviewing Teams (including both Independent Reviewing officers and Fostering Independent Reviewing Officers), Regulation 44 Quality Assurance Managers, and Participation of children in wider service delivery. The role requires visible leadership to a service that seeks to continuously improve outcomes for the most vulnerable children and young people in the community.
The role provides oversight and effective service development to ensure that the service supports the achievement of good outcomes for children and families by overseeing compliance and quality of social work practice. This includes ensuring high quality safeguarding practices and policies are in place and fully implemented.
The role is active in ensuring that children and young people’s voices are heard and are part of the development of the service provided to them.
The role also seeks to manage social work resources efficiently and effectively, prioritising need and working cooperatively within the Service Management Team.
About You
We are looking for someone who has leadership skills and service expertise developing and leading a safeguarding and reviewing service that meets statutory requirements. Lead and motivate staff effectively in order to deliver excellence and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people, including promoting high quality supervision of both staff and case work.
