About Us

Bradford Children and Families Trust was established in April 2023 to enhance the quality and delivery of Children’s Services across our district. Our purpose is clear, to ensure that our promise to improve the lives of children and young people in Bradford becomes a reality. It’s a tough ask. It requires dedication, determination, and resilience – but under a new Chief Executive, Senior Leadership team and an unswerving drive to deliver the best outcomes, we are confident that we’ll achieve our ambition – and you, yours.

So, if you’re up for the Challenge we’d love to hear from you!

About The Role

The Integrated Front Door (IFD, you may know this as MASH in other areas) as part of Bradford Children and Families Trust (BCFT) is the single point of access for children services in Bradford for all children and young people not already in receipt of a service by BCFT.

We are delighted to have an exciting opportunity to join the IFD as a social worker. If successful you will be part of a wider team that respond to all new concerns raised by professionals or members of the public primarily by telephone. The IFD operates under a conversational model where in the first instance all calls are answered by a business support officer who creates the record for the child before transferring the call to you. You as a social worker will then use your social work knowledge and experience to respond to the enquiry as required. You will have the options to provide advice and guidance, sign post early help/universal services, progress the record to early help services, or where you are concerned make a referral to social work assessment teams. The IFD has 3 practice supervisors and 5 team managers that are available to support all social workers.

The successful candidate will have 3 years of child protection experience with a good knowledge of legislation, statutory requirements, able to work at a fast pace in a friendly team. The role is hybrid and successful candidates will be required to attend the office 2 days a week minimum.
