The Role & Team
Open to experienced practitioners from Social Worker level 1 to Senior Practitioner level, an opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed social worker to join the Fostering service in North East Lincolnshire.
The fostering service in North East Lincolnshire has been going through some exciting changes which will allow the successful candidate to work alongside the current Fostering social workers to drive the development and evolution of the service. We currently have three teams within the service, Recruitment and Assessment, Mainstream Team and Kinship Team.
About You
We are currently looking to recruit a supervising social worker to our Mainstream Team. This team is responsible for the supervision, support, and training of our in-house Foster Carers. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of fostering related tasks within the service.
The functions of this specialist post include:
Ensuring each Foster Carer has an annual household review
Reviews are presented to panel
Supporting the Foster Carers to maintain a training programme to develop their skills and knowledge to ensure that children are provided with the best care possible.
You will also be part of the wider recruitment plans to increase our current numbers of fostering households to support children to remain within North East Lincolnshire.
The successful applicant will join an experienced and supportive team who are committed to improving the quality of care offered to children and young people. There are opportunities to support specific projects within the fostering service, and we pride ourselves on ensuring you are provided with the opportunities to develop within North East Lincolnshire.
