Salary: £44,428 - £48,474 per annum

 Grade:

Vacancy Hours: 37 per week

Contract Type: Permanent

Weekend Working: Occasional

Interview Date: 05/11/24

We promote hybrid working, including the ability to work remotely from a variety of bases as well as from home to provide the best support to the families and the team in Richmondshire/Hambleton. There is, however, an expectation that the successful candidate will attend the office at least twice per week.

We are looking to recruit an effective, resilient and highly motivated individual to join the Central Early Help management team to lead, supervise, and manage a diverse and dynamic team of Early Help Children & Family Workers. Working closely with the other Practice Supervisors in the Central Locality (Richmondshire, Hambleton and Selby), the successful applicant will collaborate with colleagues across the Locality to ensure that all teams are fully supported; there is a particularly close relationship between the Richmondshire and Hambleton Early Help teams, which is facilitated by a “one team” approach taken by the teams’ Practice Supervisors.

You will build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with practitioners and managers across Children’s Social Care and the Youth Justice Service, and be committed to strong partnerships with colleagues across Education and Inclusion services, as well as schools, police and health agencies and community organisations in the Richmondshire District.

Willing to take on a challenge, you will ideally have proven leadership and management skills, strong knowledge and experience of working with families using systemic and strengths based relationship practice strategies, as well as the necessary skills/ability to effectively manage and develop performance outcomes to a high standard. North Yorkshire Children and Families Service has developed a highly effective Practice Model, and you will lead your team to continuously improve their practice in Signs of Safety, Systemic approaches and Family Finding/Seeing; you will be passionate about your own development, and you will participate in service-wide practice development activities as both a learner and a facilitator.

For an informal discussion on this opportunity, please contact Group Manager Early Help (Central) Simon Osman on 07966 169771 or email simon.osman@northyorks.gov.uk
