This is an exciting time to join Barnsley Children’s Service as we’re a council that prioritises Children’s Services, and we want every child in the borough to achieve their full potential, to be safe and happy. Because we highly value the work of our Social Workers, we’ve approved significant additional investment, creating more posts to support Social Workers in the valuable work that they do. Additionally, we have increased the management support to Social Workers at both Team Manager and Advanced Practitioner level.
The current vacancy is in Barnsley’s Disabled Children’s Team. There are two teams within the service, each with their own Team Manager, five social workers, an Advanced Practitioner and two Family Support Workers. The Disabled Children’s Team work with children with the most complex needs. Our work spans Child in Need, Child Protection, Public and Private Proceedings alongside assessing for packages of short breaks and support.
Could that be you?
