Rachel Smith, Director of North Lincolnshire's Children and Families and Chloe Huddart with her award certificate
The CSWM Award winner for the month of January 2025 has been announced! Our judging panel from East Riding of Yorkshire has chosen Chloe Huddart from North Lincolnshire.
Chloe’s nomination came with high praise for her remarkable professionalism as a Newly Qualified Social Worker. Her colleagues have recognised her as excelling in her role, advocating for and representing the best interests of children, and being exceptional at producing high quality written work to convey the child’s needs and seek the best outcomes. She has also been given repeated positive feedback on her court report writing and commended by District Judges on her “commitment to clarity, entirety and holistic accuracy”.
Here’s the feedback from our judges:
“We were impressed by Chloe's ability to navigate the complexifies of social work despite her being at the start of her journey as a newly qualified worker. Chloe presents as child centred and inclusive and is a shining star.”
Judges: Penny Donno, Director of Children & Young People Support & Safeguarding Services and Hollie Troughton, Principal Social Worker from East Riding of Yorkshire Council
Rachel Smith, Director of North Lincolnshire's Children and Families presented Chloe with the award:
"It is an absolute pleasure to present Chloe with this award. Chloe is at the start of her social work career and to receive this award is excellent. I am proud of what she has achieved and to see that her practice parallels to that of someone well beyond her level of experience is brilliant. Chloe’s ability to convey the child's needs, voice and circumstances from their perspective is exceptional. Well done, Chloe, you are an inspiration to others"
Congratulations Chloe!
The CSWM Awards are our monthly award which celebrates social workers who go above and beyond. Each of our partner local authorities and adoption agencies can make one nomination per month. The winner is picked by our guest judges - senior colleagues from different local authorities.
